*I've moved this to Research so the folks here can do their magic. HSO*

I have the opportunity to purchase any or all of these guns. What's what and what is worth picking up? Do not know the prices...but if I know what they are worth I can make an offer.

Looks like a rather 'eclectic' collection. Some are old European, some ???
The Colt Govt 380 (#6), yes.
I'd have someone knowledgable of Trapdoors check out the serial number of 9/10; if it's a Model 1873 it could be suprisingly valuable.
Not a Custer because it's not a carbine.
#48 is interesting - looks like a Snider or Allin (I'm not too knowledgeble but I do recognize them from the design) - another possibly rare item!

I see a Ljungman in there, that one alone could be worth close to $800. But then again, I'm a sucker for the mil-surps.

Edit to add: #11 looks like a Lebel to me. That could bring a great price too, depending on condition.

pick up all of those 22BB's you can get certain collectors will pay reasonably well for them

As a package, I would think that there's a lot of good collector's material there with some non-collectibles. I'd say get it and keep the ones you want and offer the other's in the FS/FT forum here.

There are some nice examples in there, along with some that you probably wouldn't take a second look at if you wanted a good shooter or collectible. Here's my best shot at your list:

1. A US Revolver Co. Double Action, built by Iver Johnson, probably in 38 S&W.

2. Don't recognize the fleur-de-lis, but the make should be marked somewhere on the revolver.

3. Again, unknown sold-frame DA that should be marked somewhere as to make or model.

4. Probably a Tanarmi Buffalo Scout single-action in 22 LR or 22 Mag.

5. Colt 380 Government Model.

6. Again, unknown sold-frame DA that should be marked somewhere as to make or model.

7. S&W 2206

8. Japanese Arisaka with the mum ground off.

9. Side shot of above.

10. & 11. Springfield Trapdoor of one type or another (need overall shot, bbl length, etc. to know which)

12. Looks to be a French Mannlicher-Berthier (8mm Lebel), but we'd need more info to nail down which specific model.

13. & 14. Swiss Schmidt-Rubin 1931, but unknown which specific model.

15. & 16. Apprears to be a Remington Rolling Block, but we'd need more info (calibre, barrel length, etc.) to know which one.

17. & 18. Appears to be another Springfield Trapdoor.

19. & 20. Believe this is one of the variations of the German 1888 Commision Rifle.

22. A Mauser of some type, possibly a Czech VZ24.

23. A Mosin-Nagant of some type, but we'd need to see the top of the receiver to know who made it.

24. A Swedish Ljungmann AG-42 in 6.5x55 Swede; the Egyptians copied these in 8mm.

25. & 26. Again, a Mosin-Nagant, but we'd need to see the top of the receiver and possibly the barrel length to know which version.

27. & 28. Appears to be a Stoeger Condor.

29., 30. & 40. A Krag-Jorgensen of one of 30 or 40 different models, but we'd need more info to know which specific one.

41. Appears to be another shot of an Arisaka (same one as above?)

42. Swedish AG-42 (same one as above?)

43. What appears to be a Savage-made pump-action shotgun (these were sold under a variety of names and model numbers).

44. Another Schmidt-Rubin M1931.

45. Another Arisaka with the mum ground off (the Japanese did this before the rifles were surrendered).

46. Another Springfield Trapdoor, but we'd need more info to know which specific version.

47. & 48. What appears to be a Mannlicher rifle of some description, but I can't read the markings in the first photo.

49. Looks like a Snider-Enfield, but can't tell which version of 20 or so.

50. Another Trapdoor?

51. & 52. An Izhevsk-manufactured M1944 Carbine, built in 1948.

53. Mannlicher-Berthier 1907/15 rifle.

54. Raven MP-25

55. What looks like an Iver Johnson solid-frame DA 22.

56. Unable to read the markings.

57. Colt New Police or Police Positive?

58. What looks like a Unique Model 10.

59. What looks like an L-frame or N-frame S&W, but need to know the calibre to tell.

60. An H&R Self-Loading, a copy of an English Webley & Scott.

61. S&W M41 Target pistol.

82. A Spanish "Liberty" pistol built in the 1920s, as a copy of the Browning 1906 Vest Pocket.

83. What looks like one of the versions of the Taurus Model 85.

84. Jennings J-22.

85. A Beretta 20 or 21, depending on the calibre.

Hope this helps, but I'm sure I've screwed up on at least some of these.

#22 Is a Japanese Tipo 1. A Carcano with box magazine made for the Imperial Navy. I've been looking for one quite awhile...

The first Swiss rifle is a 1911 and not a K31. The first trapdoor is an early model identified by the two piece trigger guard.
