What are these?

Hey folks,

I got these in a bulk house clearing. Laser sighting tool of some type? The owner was a reloader and appears to be a 45 long colt and 30-06 shooter...if that helps.

A quick Google search came up empty.

More pictures from other angles out of the case would help. Taking a wild arse guess with limited info they look like shotgun chamber inserts to shoot a pistol cartridge, like 45 Colt or sub gauge shot shell like shooting 28 gauge in a 12 gauge. Just a guess.

ETA: no scale, so maybe 22lr inserts for a 45 Colt revolver, since there is six of them.

If they are indeed lasers then its a bore sighter. If it doesn't shoot a laser beam then I have no clue.

They are snap caps for practice shooting.

remind me of the wax bullet primer powered plinking rounds. Some were purpose made where you didn't need a reloading tool to remove the primer.

5 brass pieces with a larger OD in the middle and cut like a semi-rimmed cartridge at one end. Is that what I'm seeing?

If lasers, why 5 in a pack unless they are for practice shooting at a laser sensitive target with a revolver?
