RANT.

All these AWB lies! What are we doing? It seems to me like we're just sitting around complaining and not doing anything about it. And don't ask me, "Well, what are YOU doing about it?" beacause I'M 15 years old. No one's gonna listen to me, trust me, I'm trying. What we need to do is get someone on a NATIONAL level get up and EXPLAIN to the people who are FALLING FOR THESE LIES what's really going on. Suzy Homemaker isn't gonna know what an AK-47 is, unless she's told it's an "evil killing machine" and must be banned. She's not gonna know otherwise because no one is telling them other wise. WE NEED TO EDUCATE THE UNEDUCATED AMERICANS IN THIS COUNTRY ABOUT THIS AND OTHER BULL**** GUN CONTROL LEGISLATION. WHO CAN WE GET TO SPREAD THIS MESSAGE? Someone famous, someone important, not just John Doe, a life member of the NRA. We need to be heard!!! GOD DAMN.

And, do please inform me if we ARE doing something, because it doesn't seem like it.

Dig out the thread on Gun Manufacturers Liability limitation bill that congress debated and scuttled.

A LOT of people were all over this one.

A LOT more will be all over the AWB. Both side see it as a make or break issue. Bush is president because of gunowners. The House has no guts to pass it again. The Senate is the only place were there is any support for AWB II and that is just with a few of the usual suspects. The know it is a loser for the Democrats but they also know they have to look like they are doing something to reign in evil killing machines or their campaign funding will simply go away. Hence the kabookie dance over AWB II.

Bush is betting the house will not pass a bill even if the senate does. He made the same bet on Campaign Finance Control legislation and had his keester handed to him.

Yea, the anti-2's lie. Snakes wiggle, dogs bark, cat hork up hair balls, and anti-2's lie. That is nature. Accept it for what it is and manipulate it for your benefits.

Your concern is heartfelt, but rest assured A LOT of people are in the fray. I feel pretty good that there will be no new AWB this year. If Kerry (or Clinton) wins in November, all bets are off.
 
Write your congresspeople polite letters. One letter is said to represent hundreds of people who feel the same way but do not write.
