what are your thoughts on FNP9?

I have the FNS-40. While striker fired instead of a hammer, I've been very impressed with the gun as is out of the box. Accurate, no failures in 400 rounds, and soooo comfortable to shoot with either hand.

FN makes a quality gun, IMHO

I believe the fnp 9 was discontinued so I would go for the newer version which is the fnx 9, unless you're getting it for a great deal. never owned one but always heard good things about them. like stated above, parts and accessories might be hard to come by

FN makes a great quality gun. If I'm not mistaken the FNP series is no longer in production with the FNX as the replacement series.

You have the option of cocked n locked, DA w/safety off, DA with safety on readiness modes.

My wife bought an FNS-40 a couple of months ago and it's fast becoming a favorite of mine. The thought even crossed my mind it could replace my Glock 23 as my constant companion.

After the second range session with it I installed a Hogue Handall grip sleeve and it's simply a joy to shoot. Flawless through about 600 rounds and the OEM night sights are pretty nice. I'm normally a laser guy for low light, but the sights suit me and the wife really well.

FNH USA makes outstanding gun and says an FNS-45 is on the way; I do need a full size 45.

I have an FNX 45, the new .45 version of the gun you are considering, and it is extremely nice. Little bit big, but a very well made gun

anybody hear about this? Apparently the control group housing is prone to crack if you have the old style (the one on the right with the notch in it) FN changed the design to one with NO notch.

Mine has the notch and i fear it will break in the future. I called FN and they wont replace it unless it is broke and even then ill have to pay $80 bucks to ship it to them. Not sure if its worth keeping my gun

Love it / hate it. What I love is the gun itself, fits good, feels good. Hate the :cuss: trigger. Not even it's mother could love that part of it.
