I need some additional chokes for my invevtor DS and Invector Plus browning shotguns.

I have a 725 sporting, 725 trap, and bt-99.

I started looking at chokes because the full choke on the bt-99 from the factory is a flush but I prefer extended, and so I went to find an extended full and saw the browning diamond chokes for invector plus

I also saw a Briley light full choke I want, and then I got got me thinking about the DS chokes I have, which are all browning extended type.

What brands do you guys recommend? I mostly shoot trap but some sporting clays too. Is Briley good to go for inventory plus chokes? Are there other brands i should be looking at? And same for DS chokes as well as plus.

Carlsons, Briley and Trulock are the main folks. All mine now use Trulocks but there is absolutely nothing wrong with Carlson or Briley. Your safe with any of them.

>>Why are the truloks preferred?<<

I can't say that they're universally preferred, but they are by me. Quality is excellent and the price is right, especially through MPC Sports. George Trulock is a stand-up guy and runs a great company.

I shoot a Beretta, I use Beretta Victory extended and Briley Spectrum. For my newest Beretta 694 I bought Briley Titanium to fill in the ones I needed that Beretta doesn't have.

Can't say I know a lot about choke tubes because I only have one gun that takes them and it only seems to accept Carlson's true choke SD's, well I assume cause it's an of ball foreign gun that had that brand in it when I bought it, but I tell you right now Ive killed more squirrels at longer ranges and in more difficult situations, like heavy brush or moving shots, than I have with my fixed choke imp cyl pump. This may be cause gun that takes the tubes is a SXS so I always put a different one in each barrel so I can pull one trigger for one scenario and the other for another. Carlson's also ships them for a reasonable price and quick enough for my taste

My Brownings have Carlson and my Remingtons have Trulocks from MPC Sports. They both work great with nice patterns.

I have around 50 extended chokes divided between Carlson’s and Trulock. Quality and performance is the same. Which company I purchase from is totally dependent on what’s in stock, what’s not and price when I buy. I’ve spoken with Mr. Trulock and Mr. Carlson, they are both outstanding people.

I use Briley chokes in my Citoris. But you won't go wrong with Carlson or Trulock either.

Trulock seems to be the winner, Carlsons in second place.

I'll get a few Trulocks and see how I like their full, light full, improved modified, and modified.

I typically shoot full choke or improved modified for trap and I've never used a light full and very excited to try.

Browning 725 use an Invector-DS choke
A BT-99 made after 1992 uses an Invector-Plus

Oh yes, I know the choke styles I was curious on the brand of chokes in each of the appropriate styles. Sounds like trulock is highly regarded in general
