Assume that you are entirely out of ammo and without any other means of defense, save a shrill wail devoid of all hope and profuse urination (zombies are not observed to be deterred by loud, unpleasant noises or odors, though there may be strains of delicately liberal zombies, against which such measures have an effect, still to be discovered). Also assume that you may have to contend with those freaky-ass fast zombies from the 28 Days/Weeks Later movies in addition to the more routine slowly-shambling hordes. In other words, swing/thrust speed may be as important as force imparted.
