It is an old

Beretta Pietro that has PB Mod-100 Cal 7.65 stamped on the slide. It has the metal frame and is in very good shape. I will try to post a picture of it when I get home. Unfortunately google has not been very friendly on this search. All that keeps coming up are pictures of the model 70 and shows 32acp but mine is a model 100.

Check the chamber dimensions, good chance you'll be able to buy modern ammo to fit it.

I am not a pistolsmith, but know that you ought to have this verified. According to my BlueBook, the P. Beretta Model 100 was chambered in a modern cartridge that is also known in Europe as 7.65, HOWEVER there are several different pistol chamberings called 7.65.

Have it confirmed by someone who can verify it in person.

The Beretta Model 100 is the same as the Beretta Model 70 or Beretta Puma. The Model 100 & Puma designations were used in the USA only.
I believe it was available in both 4" and 6" barrel lengths.

It is chambered for the 7.65mm Browning / .32 Auto / .32 ACP, which are all the same cartridge.

Macro01 thank you for the help ;) But I have already asked Beretta via email and it has been 12 days now and I have not seen a reply.

I know it would normally be 32acp but most of my searching has turned up 30 luger/7.65mm.

RC,

Thank you very much. Mine is the one in the second row first one from the left. The very amazing part about this is the fact this has been stored in the original box for a very long time and it has no rust at all and doesn't look to have ever been shot.

Thanks again.

If it is possible to look down the chamber end of the barrel, it should be obvious if it is chambered for a bottlenecked case, which the .30 Luger is. I think it more likely it is a .32 ACP. Or do a chamber cast with Cerrosafe.

You can't get a .30 Luger in that gun with a sledge hammer. rcmodel is correct, as are the others who say the correct ammo is .32 ACP.
