What caliber for vampires? Is one shot enough?

This late 19th century vampire hunter's kit recently sold for $4700 at auction. It consists of a .41 caliber percussion gun on one end, a knife on the other, and the whole kit and caboodle is in the shape of a cross. A triple-threat for any hungry vampire.

Sorry 'bout the "what caliber for X" meme - I just couldn't resist :D

How's that old saying go? "A fool and his money are soon parted"
I guess you have to spend your money on something (while it's still worth something).

As far as I know it is still illegal to shoot a government official,no matter how revolting they become. That would make caliber irrelevant.

na, that just won't cut it with today's vampires. Today's vampires are not only faster, but harder to kill. that's why you need to make your own bullets set to your favorite revolver caliber. you'll need something that will pierce and engine block @200 yards so I suggest a .44magnum or bigger. Now you need to buy a couple of silver coins blessed by austrian monks that once(not twice) visited the vatican on a full moon. you still with me? ok, now you need to melt the coins down(did I mention the coins had to be pure silver) into a semi wadcutter design and cut a cross onto the top of the bullet(for added effects) load to mediocre pressures.

After you've done all this your free to slay away.(just don't complain if it doesnt work or you cant find any vampires to test your bullets on.)

oh and reading this cost you $4200 which is cheaper than that kit.
