I've been wishing for this forever now..I voted (hell) yes.
It would solve my problem of finding that "perfect carry gun." A single-stack G26 that was no more than 1" at its widest point would would be awesome. I wish the people at Glock would take a hint already..
Glock has their reputation, supreme reliability, accuracy, customer service, etc. going for them, but they refuse to do some REAL R&D when designing their "newer" products. They just wont do anything to improve their guns. The two biggest complaints I hear are either: 1- "It's too fat/bulky." or 2-"The grip sucks."
I'd personally add in that the front sight should be dovetailed and also they should make a better feeling trigger with a springier and less pointy trigger safety.
If Glock could do those 4 things to improve their design, I wouldn't look any further for my polymer or carry needs. I'd probably only own Glocks (and maybe a 1911 or a Sig)
I voted no. Although i own a G30, and the grip is on the fat side, and i do want a G26, even though im sure it will still be fatter than i would like. I have to admit, a thinner Glock would feel nice in the hand, but i voted no because i like the double stack capacity. I also own 2 Kahr's, so no need for a thinner Glock. Thats what i love about the Glock, it isn't a Kahr, and i love that my Kahr's are not Glocks
The grip size is the one thing I do not like about Glocks. I don't have small hands but I am used to the 1911s and such. It will take a while for me to get used to when I get the G36 but I just don't see a better carry firearm out there right now, in regards to weight, size, reliability, .45. Now if the M&P came in .45 compact I might think differently.
One reviewer I came across found one of the glock single stack .45's (not sure if it was the G36 or the full size GAP) to "twist" under recoil. I haven't heard anyone else complain, though.
