What do you do with your gun locks?

I leave mine in the box the gun came in figuring that SHOULD I ever want to trade or sell it off, a collector would say the gun wasn't complete LOL Don

Every time I hit the brakes hard in my truck a few pop out from under the seat. There must be a dozen under there with the dust-bunnies and other random stuff that seems to collect in the foot-wells of pickups.

I lock my 5 reloader a down with them so the kids can't pinch fingers or drop powder charges on the MECs.

I bought a bunch of trigger locks from cabelas years ago all keyed the same. Keep everything in safe a d hate messing with them. I'm the only person alive that knows the safe combo. Think I'm secure.

I just throw them away, got no need for cheep locks and I don't see how'd they raise the resale value on anything I got. Although, I kinda wish I still had them all, I like the idea one of you had about sending them to Brady. How I'd love to see their face when they'd open a box of 50 locks

They make great snowboard locks - I gave a bunch to friends so we could lock up our boards when we went in to the bar after a day of riding the slopes... Nice to have some piece of mind to lock your board up to the metal stand so someone doesn't walk away with it.

They are useful little locks to keep folks honest and handy to have around ... maybe locking your tool box in the garage, securing your grill to the deck, etc. or whatnot... They are easy to cut or pick, no doubt, so it's really just to keep folks honest.

Mine are just clutter around the house. I have a big safe and a small handgun safe for the bedroom. No reason to every use them.

The cable locks work great on gates. Hunting clubs as well as farmers and ranchers around here have used them for years. Can also be used to secure tree stands.

I use two while flying/traveling. One trough the action one to secure the case to my luggage rails. Otherwise I'm like the rest of you I have a collection of them stuffed in various locations collecting dust.

Be a "good citizen" and turn them in to your local police department. They love those things. Seriously, those locks are so easy to pick that most 5th graders could get one open. Amazing how that junk makes people "feel safe".

I keep mine in the original box and original paperwork, so I know where to find it. You never know when some law is changed or as mentioned earlier, you need to lock it up for transport.
