What do you guys think of this finish?

This looks like a really nice finish. It's most likely a very well prepared surface for ferritic nitrocarburizing, like Melonite. If the picture is a typical example, it sure is the best looking of the black finishes.

I'm trying to visualize one of my stainless BP revolvers with this finish. I think it may look fairly presentable. I like the ease of maintenance of stainless but I also have a desire for a black one.

Cost aside ($350), what do you guys think?

Looks like a good alternative, but they show on their website nothing but Model 1911s. Will they customize revolvers??

Take a look at some revolvers and rifles that were rust blued with Laurel Mountain Forge's Barrel Brown and Degreaser. The finish looks similar but much nicer IMO and you can do it yourself.
