What do you think this is worth?

I bought one with a 6" barrel and nickel plated for $100.00. They ARE NOT safe for high velocity ammunition. Standard pressure 22 LR rf ammunition is safe for them.

The H&R model 929 "Sidekick" was manufactured between 1956 to 1985. As a post-war gun it is safe to use with high velocity as well as standard ammunition. It was a 9-shot revolver offered with 2 1/2, 4 and 6 inch barrels. The value of your used gun is probably between $70.00 to $100.00.

Saw one last week in a pawn shop fopr $79. I paid $125 for my 22/.22mag 650 about a year or two ago

I have heard that the 929 was made in two generations. Pre'68 and Post'68. Old Fuff, I have understood that the 929 was NOT safe for high velocity 22s until the second Post'68 generation. I have faith in your knowledge, I am just wondering where the wives tale came from?

Probably the model 922. the 1st. issue was made before World War Two and had checkered walnut grips. Early guns had octagon barrels, later ones had round barrels. The 2nd. issue was made between 1950 to 1982 and had round barrels and plastic grips. Without question the later issue could be used with hi-velocity cartridges.
