I don't have a camera but here is the info. On the barrel it has Model 929 H&R INC Worcester, Mass. USA it also has "Side-Kick" stamped on the barrel, the grips are black plastic and have an H&R logo on them. Its a .22 9 shot. It has a 6 inch barrel.

Anyone have any ideas for me? Also is it possible for the barrel to be bent and make the sights inaccurate?

OLD FUFF!??? (calls modestly for the guru!!) ... or Jim Keenan.

H&R IIRC is Harrington & Richardson - makers of many many revo's way back. I do not have a full mental pic of this - what is barrel length? And ... is there an exposed hammer? With or without spur?

Hopefully someone will have a pic of one of these.

Thats it, it has a 6 inch barrel. Thanks for the help. Just this one is blued and has plsatic grips.

Is there a way to find out when it was made or anything? Their website claims they do not make revolvers.

Ahh - 6" barrel eh ... guess they must have made one or two variants.

Prior to getting accurate date info I'd guess this as per the pic was made in 20's, 30's etc. However if you have bluing and plastic grips sounds like production went on for a good while - so, again guessing, perhaps post war for yours.

Probably Fuff or Jim might be able to date yours.

Harrington & Richardson made the model 929 "Sidekick" between 1956 - 1985. Its most noteable feature was a heavy bull barrel in lengths of 2 1/2, 4 and 6 inches. Nine shots, chambered in .22 LR. Blue finish. Sorry, but I don't have any serial number listings. It should make a decent plinker.

Harrington & Richardson, Inc. was forced into bankruptcy by an anti-gun motivated lawsuit in 1986. In about 1991 a new company was formed called "Harrington & Richardson 1871" that had bought the name and assets of the former firm, but did not return the model 929 Sidekick to production.
