Here on CO i bring a box of ammo , rifle , suitable clothing , my cooking skills ( i normally wind up camp cook ) and a fine bottle of scotch . The scotch stays sealed unless and untill i take game , then it is given to them who help me drag the dammed carcus back to camp and hang it lol .

man some of u guy go all out on this i take my gun a knife and a truck but this year we went into the woods were a couple of campers were put and we had everything you could imagine it was quite a change for me

there is alot of good advice here most of the time my phone dont work where i hunt if you go with some one and i suggest that you do you can use walkie talkies tell two responsible people where your going and when you will be back if you can get top. maps you can high lite them where you will be on the back of map you can leave sar. your licence no of your car . this speeds things up if you get hurt or lost. ;)

The most important thing is to forget something. I always seem to get a deer when I'm not quite prepared for it. When I'm fully prepared, I see nothing.

1- marlin 30aw in .30-30 fill the mag and thats all the ammo

2- ruger single six .22lr/wmr fill the cylinder thats it

3- winchester hunting knife

4- camelbak filled with water

5- cell phone

6- a match container with 10-20 strike anywhere matches

Looks like those guys have most of it covered. I do however carry an extra flashlight or two in my backpack. One is a back up light in case my main light goes dead. Sometimes I misplace my main flashlight after the morning hunt and after dark of the evening I get to hunting a spare light. Also I carry one of the powerful lithium Browning flashlights for tracking wounded animals after dark, if that ever happens.
