What gun for bear defence - in the theater?

However, showing it a Ben Affleck movie will make it commit suicide -- a much faster outcome.

If you try to use a gun to defend yourself against a bear, it will only make the bear mad. The bear will then take the gun away and use it against you.

As expert police officers have been telling us for years, the best defense against a bear is to either give it what it wants, or run away.

Depends on what kind of bear we're talking about. A rocket would work on a grizzly bear (as in Repel Predatory Grizzlies) - but that wouldn't work on black bears, I'm afraid!
