What gun for this hunt?

Me and a friend are trying to prepare for an upcoming hunt in Oregon. All shots will likely be fairly close range and nothing over 100 yards, I suggested a shotgun with slugs but would like to get some more opinions, maybe a semi 308?

Also, the target is a group of Sasquatch we've been monitoring in the area.

I ain't sayin' squatches exist, and I ain't sayin' they don't exist either. For decades there were reports of panthers in GA and both US FWS and GA DNR denied that any big cats existed in GA. Then a few years ago a hunter in a West GA town near the AL line, about midway between TN and FL shot one. The DNA linked it to the everglades population of Florida Panthers. The state and feds tried to prosecute him for killing a protected species, but they backed off when it was brought up that he gave them proof of something they insisted didn't exist in GA. So, if you really have found a group of squatches, be aware of the potential consequences of killing one. I'll congratulate you if you do get the first hard evidence of their existence.
