So I really like the show Burn Notice (new season comes out on the 10th) and I just got the First season on DVD. I am trying to figure out what gun it is that Michael Weston uses. Im pretty sure it is a Sig Sauer, but I dont know what model. Here is a picture

Looks like a Smith 5906, to me.

Smith and Wesson DOES make semi-autos. To me, they look and feel weird, though. The grip, trigger guard, and odd aesthetics are giveaways as to the Smith and Wesson being the make, but for their semi-auto pistols, I'm not all too familiar with their ###'s

One episode it specifically mentions removing the trigger bar spring from a Sig-Sauer P228 pistol. The one in the poster, however, is not what he carried then.
I would agree that is a Smith & Wesson of some sort. Probably the flashy chrome looks better in the poster.

Only on this website will you find people looking at that 1st poster for "Burn Notice" and talking about the fake gun rather than the hottie in the red dress....LOL.:what:

I can't find the gun ;(

Something just doesn't add up with the pistol in the poster. It looks to be a S&W Model 5906, but the problems are:

The barrel for a Model 5906 was 4"; the slide on that one looks to be somewhat shorter.

S&W autos had blued sights; both the front and rear sights on the poster gun are silver.

The gun in the poster almost appears to be one piece; like it's a non-functioning prop gun used for photo shoots (if you'll excuse the pun).

You can see in the lower photo that the barrel hood is part of the slide. Appears to be a prop gun based on the S&W 5906/6906.

The chic in the red dress had a gun? ;)

Liv Tyler? No, Burn Notice posts already here...

You are thinking of actor; Liv Tyler, star of the new Hulk film and yes Empire Records, ;), www.imdb.com .

Burn Notice was already discussed here on THe High Road a few months ago. Search the posts and you'll read the same bits about the SIG P-228 9mmNATO scene,.

For the ad/poster, I'd agree it looks like a stainless S&W model 5906 or maybe a smaller 6906 9mmNATO. Those are OLD school, son, :D, circa: 1988.

A Glock or maybe a HK P-2000 would be more CIA-y today in Miami/SOBE,.

I'm just saying...

That is an early Smith 6906 (hooked trigger guard). The compact version of the 5900 series.

Her's, I don't quite know (looks like a bigger Browning Baby). Plus everytime my eyes get to looking at the pistol, I get distracted by whats BEHIND it....

The gal is a much older but still hot looking actress by the name of Gabriella Anwar. She was the chic that danced the tango w/ Al Pacino in the movie "Scent of a woman".

The big one looks like a Smith 6906, the smaller like a 1908 Vest Pocket (both being prop guns, made to have matching finishes).

Thanks for the help guys....I knew that it was a prop gun (fake) but wanted to know what it was patterned from. In the show he does use a Sig 226, but I like the way this stainless one looks. The Smith 5906 seems to be right

Well, no wonder everyone wants to drill in Anwar

Definitely a prop gun.
