They pretty much stopped making the MSARs. It is sad... I enjoy mine. :(

They filed for a bankruptcy reorg in July 2011.

yeah my msar runs great, I was really hoping for the pistol caliber versions to come out.

You mean that one day when they woke up, they decided to stop producing firearms? Are there any notifications or messages/bulletins or whatever about this?

Best source for MSAR/bullpup info: http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_6/43_.html
Short version: Owner ran the company into the ground trying to crank out too many rifles w/predicatable QC results, they've now filed Chaper 11 and Ratworx seems to have picked up the ball w/regards to parts/warranty service/etc.
I own several MSAR STG-556's and no full-length platform can tempt me now.

It is too bad. Rumors and other issues have circulated for a while now. I have one 556 and would consider another, except they seem a bit of a gamble. Even though the AR-180 hasn't been made in years, I consider them much less of a "gamble" because they hold up well and have no real issues.

Hoping someone will see the value in the MSAR and have the resources to pick it up and run with it. Ruger might be a good candidate. They are good with cast parts and the scope and receiver are made from casting.

I love mine. It is sexy and sleek. Handles well too. But am always a bit apprehensive to take her out to the range. Like a cheatin' woman, if you can't trust a rifle, it isn't much good to ya.

What do you fear would happen with it at the range. I can understand not wanting to take a weapon with questionable quality to battle or even for HD but why not the range?
