what happened to austrian gun laws?

have they gone the way of switzerland?

a while back i heard that ccw was common and that military weapons ownership commonplace.

that was a while ago ...

tried googling but couldn't find anything in english.

My wife is Austrian, and my father-in-law is a retired forestmeister. I get over there every couple of years to hunt chamois.

They’re laws have become pretty draconian, worse even then what I saw in Germany. In some cases, handgun ownership requires annual inspections.
