A few months ago, the Sig P-250 was $675 or so.

Yesterday, at Academy, a place not known for extreme low prices, had one for $449.

Did Sig realize they could sell more at lower prices, or what ?

Maybe they are tired of it sitting around not selling, so they are trying to get rid of it for about what they paid for it?

I know the store I frequent has 3 of them that haven't moved since they got them in

They were so overpriced to begin with. I hope sig woke up and started dropping prices. $450 is a good price for that gun IMO.

It was a cool idea but it was just too expensive to convert to different sizes/calibers. other then being a little thinner, i still think the SigPro is a better polymer Sig

JOe

I agree with Kingofthehill. The SP2022, to me, is the better choice

The P250's trigger is great for a DAO design, but really, who wants a polymer gun with a long/heavy trigger pull? Not me, give me DA/SA or striker fired

Demand is low so price goes down. May be heresay but I've been told one of the reasons is that tolerances are a bit loose to allow for the flexibility

You don't get two complete pistols... just one FCG, which is the serialized portion. There are two different sized frames in the kit.

I actually wouldn't mind a sub-compact in .45 ACP, but I've never seen one. I'm afraid if I do find one, it'll be a lot more expensive than other options :(

p250 compact? Sig has had some design changes on the p250 compact. Some dealers are trying to dump old p250 compact models fast.

Models of the newest design P250 Compact in 9mm, 357 Sig, And 40 S&W will have different grip surface and use different magazines and use a different holster. http://www.sigsauer.com/upFiles/CmsContent/documents/P250%20COMPACT%20GRIP%20CHANGE.pdf

SIG updated the P250 and some places are blowing out the older models. They made some changes to the gun. So be sure to do some research and make sure it's the one you want that they are selling. Buds is selling the older model for about $425 right now.

SIG should come up with a DA/SA variant instead of doing all this "2pack" nonsense. They should also make a compact model that is actually compact. Oh, and they should give you 2 mags instead of one because one mag is really lame....especially with the prices they want for their mags. If the gun is $550 which is what they were selling for at a lot of places, sometimes even a bit more, and the extra mag is over $40....you're basically looking at close to a $600+ gun. Glock/XD/M&P and others are a good amount less money. Oh, and they're better pistols too!

Either that or discontinue it I guess. I think the sigpro series was better than the 250 series....but I don't think too many people bought the sigpro stuff either.

When one can buy a 'real' SIG(not a polymer job) for that price, who in their right mind would pay that much for a plastic one

I like the idea but it really needs DA/SA, maybe if another company uses the idea but better.

I still don't see why they cut the SP2022 in favor of the P250. It's a better gun in every way, except for weight

It's still only one gun though. You can just change the size of it.

Oh, and you can't just buy the FCG as far as I know.....so you could never have 2 seperate functioning pistols from that kit.

at a local gun store here in sacramento they had p226's for $449 also but they were police tarde in's

Silly gimmicky concept IMO. Looks like a lot of people agree, judging on the price drop. Hopefully pretty soon they'll be $300. I might buy one. :)
