6inch wins the thread. Sadly the closest gun related thing I got for Christmas was a new pair of huntin bibs. The wife has not recieved her F.O.I.D in the mail yet so there was no prospect of getting anything that goes bang from her this year. Probably for the best though as while she likes shooting her knowledge of guns is limited as to which end you dont want to be on, and I shudder at what a salesman at a gun store would send a non gun savy female home with. My dad got a new Remington 700 from my mom, and some glass, and a few boxes of ammo from me. We spent the rest of the morning sighting it in behind the house which was good enough for me.

My wife bought me a Craftsman toolbox, tools, and a pistol of my choice. My Kimber 1911 with polished slide looks so nice! I found it used so it is before they were using the external and block safety. I am a lucky guy!

No guns. My parents gave me a $50 gift certificate for Grand Prairie Knives, which will probably turn into a Benchmade Balisong, a SpyderFly, or a Griptilian and trainer. (I'll add some cash to it--that's only fair, right?)

My wife gave me all nerd gifts this year:

From Melissa? I got a pretty cunning hat. She learned to knit from a coworker, and then knitted this thing herself. You can buy one on the internet, but she wanted to make it herself and she actually made it large enough to fit me.

Pretty cunning, ain't it? Man walks down the street wearing one of these, and people know he's not afraid of anything!

Daddy got a new camo sythetic stainless Remington 700 BDL in 30.06.

Mommy and Daddy got matching Remington 1100's from an estate sale. Daddy's is a 3" magnum in 12 guage, and Mommie's is a LT (Lightweight) 20 guage.
