What if a lot of people wrote to the cities?

To quote someone from some place I do not remember, "There is a sickness upon the land".
 
Honestly, it won't make much of a difference, if at all. Millions of letters could be sent, and the majority would never get read. It's got nothing to do with gun rights and everything to do with keeping themselves in power. A group of non residents matter very little to them.

I live close enough to Chicago for regular visits, but I refuse to go. My refusal has had about zero impact on their local economy based on tourism.

I would venture to say they don't care about their own residents either.

I think if you're going to start writing letters, write to your representatives and senators seeing as how there was talk of national reciprocity in the works. Most likely it got stalled in the Senate.
 
Large city humans seem to develop into a different species . This becomes apparent when one looks at such things as voting records, and specific city law.
They are born into a world that functions differently than rural and smaller town life .
 
If it makes you feel better do it. I don't think it will have any impact and would be a waste of your time. Most city folk look down their noses at non-city people anyway and I think their attitude would be along the lines of, "good...we don't want any 'gun-toting yahoos' in our city anyway."

Lol very true. And I won't be bringing my yahoo self into their city when their yelling for help either!

The ironic thing is the cities(Chicago especially) are filled with gun-toting yahoos belonging to gangs. So what good would it do to block the law-abiding gun toting citizens? Clearly enough people haven't been killed on the southside of Chicago to learn these basic lessons, therefore the shootings are never gonna stop.
