What Is It ? Colt .25 Auto Funtion Replica, or Plastic Air Gun ?

A member of my family found what appears to be mostly a clear (see through) plastic, with black grips with Colt lettering and pony, silver colored trigger, safety, and bottom of a removable magazine.
It has patent dates from 8-25-96 through 7-31-17, a serial #, "Colt Automatic Calibre 25", and "Made in Philippines".

What is it ?

Once again, thanks rc !
Mine does not have the orange "thingie" on the tip of the barrel.
If you sprayed it black you'd think it was the real thing.
It was advertised as 12.99 pounds (UK), or approx. $20, give or take new.
I noticed they were "sold out".
