Those are all relative terms.

If I were to attempt to draw an arbitrary line in the spectrum, I think I would choose the US Army .50 BMG M2 Ball ammo.

So, anything lighter than 706.7gr is 'light', and anything slower than 2910fps is 'slow'.

btw: The US Army lists this as a 'small caliber' round. So maybe the dividing line should be a 'medium caliber' round. :p
 
As all the above shows, slow and heavy and fast and light may apply to boats, airplanes and women but not well to bullet calibers being completely subjective and anecdotal.:banghead:
 
Simple. Any bullet weighing 200 gr or more is heavy. Any handgun bullet with a MV of 1000 fps or less is slow. Any rifle bullet with a MV below 2400 fps is slow. My definitions, they work for me, YMMV.
