I have seen most list 6mm br Remington, but what is the max load for 6mmbr Norma? These are different cartridges right? Most people recommend 30 grains Varget under 107 SMK. If you go by 6mmbr Remington that's over max.
What do you guys know, and where can I find this info?
Confused...

Thank you

The 6 BR Rem and 6 BR Norma are simillar cartridges, with slightly different chamber specs. Mostly longer throats to accomodate the VLD's. What is the max load? The answer is, it depends on your gun. Lapua publishes values for its VV powders.
The BR crowd does use very stout loads that are safe in their guns. The 6BR Site has some loads as well. My advice is start low and work up slowly.

I use 30.7 grains of VV N150 with a 105 Scenar, which is more than published maximum's, but I have worked up to this load very carefully, and it is safe in my particular gun.

With Varget I have had decent luck at 29.5 grains with the 105 scenar. YMMW.

Thanks for the info. Is Lapua the only company that has published loads for 6mmbr Norma in particular? I guess this cartridge is still a wildcat in many respects.

I personally havent looked, since pretty much the only powders available around here are Vithavouri and Tubal. Also I use Quickload quite a bit for load development, so dont really look for information from powder manufacturers too seriously.

If you are going to shoot 6 NBR quite a bit, would really reccomend getting Quickload. Why, because you will be playing with different loads, primers, bullets and seating depths. QL at the least will let you know potentially dangerous loads in a jiffy. The best $150 I spent.

So quickload has most info on cartridges up to date, such as max pressures? I'll look into it. Thank you

QL has most calibers, bullets, and powders... an invaluable tool.
