what is overall length of 10.5 SBR on ar15 platform?

is the 16" version with collapsible stock 35"?

if so, should I just put down 29.5" (because 35"-5.5") ?

ATF measures overall length with the stock fully extended, if a collapsible or folding.

Now, strange thing is, what you put for overall length on an SBR doesn't matter since it's just the lower with the tax stamp. You can change uppers all you want, changing the overall length every time.

So while you should never BS a Federal form, in the end it doesn't really matter.

But your math is logical.
