My last purchase was a Henry Single Shot in 223 Remington.

My last trade was a Ruger American in .308 for a Remington 700 heavy barrel in 308. Both were like new and we traded even. He wanted something light weight and I didn’t!

Next is my most recent purchase, just picked it up yesterday. Colt Model M, AKA 1903, AKA .32 Pocket Hammerless. Obviously shooter grade, almost no original finish, so little collector appeal, also it’s a Type II fitted at some time in its life with a Type I barrel.

Been looking for a Ruger .22 for a while. The last one I had was a MKl many years ago. Debated which model to get and settled on the MKll. Didn't want the LCI, mag disconnect or other "improvements" of the newer models. This NIB Target Mark ll turned up locally on Armslist. Brought it home, cleaned it, took it out and shot it.
Yes, I may have taken an unfired/collectable pistol out of the system. Not sorry, I don't buy pistols to look at.

Three weeks later I traded into a lightly used 6" MKll with a 4" upper included. The 4" barrel looks as if someone grabbed it with a pliers. The receiver has dents below the rear sight where bubba adjusted it and light surface rust with a small area of pitting. The bore and chamber are good though, it shoots better than it looks. The 6" looks to just have holster wear outside and normal wear inside. Oh well, two are better than one. Especially since they both are awesome shooters. I will at least relegate the Target model to light duty.

Like Gunny, I have a Remington Tac-14 inbound from Palmetto, couldn't pass up the opportunity at that price, seems it will be fun to mess around with and vet it for HD duties. Will probably put a light on it, hand stop, +1 extension and some hockey tape on the birds head and call it a day.

You'll like your Walther PPQ .22. I have one of the threaded versions and it has been problem free both suppressed and unsupressed. I'm glad I waited for the PPQ version rather than the P22.

So just picked these up today, both used, under $200 for the pair before taxes and NICs.

Mossberg 195 12Ga bolt action with the poly choke

Savage 64, used but doesn't appear to have been fired much at all.

Was originally going for just the shotgun. Have heard they can be found for cheaper, but I've never seen one for sale locally before, so I scooped it up.

Since the Savage has a nice wood stock, already set up for a scope, and was in near new condition, just had to add another .22 to the family.

After a little going over, will get them to the range next weekend.

A gorgeous Howa 1500 in .308 in walnut furniture with a liquid mercury recoil suppressor and scope rings and a nice sling . . . All for $400.

Got it off a private citizen at a gun show who's wife ordered a safe downsizing

My Weatherby Vanguard (which is really just a 1500 Howa) is my most accurate rifle. The only thing I didn't like was the factory trigger had some creep and a gritty break. Some careful stoning, greasing, and adjustment turned into the best trigger in my (rather extensive) armory.

If you're not comfortable smithing your trigger, Timney makes a nice drop-in unit too. Great rifle!

I was visiting the LGS when I met a SIG P229 Alloy Stainless Elite in .40S&W. She followed me home. She's a bit girthy around the grips though, so if I carry her she'll have to go on a G10 or E2 diet. ;)

I bought a 1976 S&W model 60 and Sig P365 at about the same time.
I'm eyeing a Remington Tac-14 Hardwood. That might be the last firearm I purchase for a while.

I agree. Love the gun. Only have about 200 rounds through it, but it has run flawless. Accurate too.

A lot of talk about the Ruger PCC, and a couple of reviews in magazines piqued my interest in this new 9mm. rifle by the well known company. Today was overcast, drizzly, and the idiot dog & pony show of the Cavanaugh hearings was driving me nutz, so I wandered down to Academy Sports, not really planning on buying anything, but hoping to distract myself ----and BOY DID IT WORK!!!!
I saw a Ruger PC carbine in the rack! First time I noticed it!
I had spent a few minutes passing the time of day with a salesman I know, not planning on buying.
But buy it I did. Sorry bank account; your sacrifice was not in vain.
I need to fit it out with a sling. Will be keeping the Ruger SR9 mag as I have that pistol so I have mags.
It's already wearing a $75 UTG 3-9 power scope with a green/red illuminated crosshair. It's a cheapo I had on hand, and it may not be what I decide I want, but it has quick detach picatinny bases. Please don't complain about it being a cheap scope, I know it is, and I'll start out with the Ruger's very nice iron sights, and decide about the scope later when I know more.
I'm happy these are now out in the market, and I have one in my collection.
I think everyone should have a .22 rifle ... and probably a Ruger PC Carbine as well.:D
