SR9

Sorry to hear that you're disappointed with your SR9 Barry960. I just had my first session at the range with my SR9. Outstanding!! I fed it everything from target loads to +p+. Performed perfectly and very accurate in my less than accurate hands. Mine has the new trigger. A bit gritty at first but smooths out real nice with use. With Ruger's first class service they will make it right.

Thanks Racinbob. I feel more hopeful now that the new trigger will make a difference. I always have been a Ruger fan in principal, and feel like they come up with good stuff for the price, I just am unlucky with the ones I get I think. I really used to love my 10/22, and was surgical with that, for example, but I used to take the barreled action out of the stock to fit in my Army duffel bag and be able to lock it, and two pins got lost that were only held in by being trapped in the wood furniture. Haven't replaced them yet, it still shoots, but the trigger assembly is wobbly and makes it feel crappy to shoot.

Thompson 1927A1

Primersinmyshoe; I also recently picked up one of those neat little guns. Mine is the pistol version with the 10.5" barrel and no shoulder stock. It is built like a tank and shoots nicely. Mine came with a 50 rd drum and I don't care for those at all. They are hard to load and very hard to install in the weapon. I bought 6 30 rd stick mags and they are super.

Just bought my second Charles Daly, an EMS 1911 from my local range. New/used stock, it's a new gun that had been available for rental for people to try out. Nice shape, but they could only find the box and the cleaning gear. The original mags and the manual are missing. They gave me 6 GI mags instead and I only paid $299. Now the first step is to figure out how to strip a bushingless 1911!

I haven't played for awhile.

I call this one my Obama special.

I have two other Obama specials I need to get out of lay-a-way.

Last I bought was a "tofur" ----- a pair of EAA Witness Elite Match , one in .40 S&W and the other in 9mm. I had one converted to double action and the cool thing is being able to switch the top ends to either frame.
