I put a great used Marlin Glenfield 60 and a almost NIB used 1980's Charter Arms Undercover 38 on layaway at my local gun shop. I will pick them up after our vacation.
Picked up my second Mosin-Nagant 91/30 with Hex receiver. Got it for $20 from a widow who wanted to get it out of the house. Can't wait to get it back from the 'smith and take it to the range!
last gun up--sa trp (used--900.00) great shape nm serial number, parkerized. got rid of thr ils and put in 19lb mainspring. gun runs great. previous--colt match target hbar--sold it though for a handsom profit
Got my keltec plr16 and shot it yesterday.Fun to say the least. They had a HK usp compact .45 there so guess who put it on lay away.Saw a Ruger SR9 as well.If I hold it I will probably buy it too.
I took my new to me Target Match for another ride this morning. So far I have put 450 rds. through her with 100% reliability. It is substantially more accurate than I am at 50' and beyond. At 7yds. and 12yds. I can shoot under 1" groups and in fact yesterday I did not have any groups over 1" at those distances. At 50' about 75% went into one ragged hole of under 2", with the rest in a decent spread. At 75' the %'s dropped down to 60/40 or perhaps 50/50. I am well satisfied with the gun, but the longer distances point up a flaw or flaws in my technique. (400 of the rds. Were Georgia Arms 230 gr. FMJ, while the remaining box was Federal Gold Metal Match. I did not detect any difference in accuracy between the two up to and including 50'; at 75' the GMM produced noticeably tighter groups.)
I did manage to take a picture of the gun and a target (35').
Got a bucket-full of brass at a garage sale. . . . .
. . . . . .22-250. Found a 5-pc set of Herter's dies/tools in the bottom of the bucket, along with 25~35 pages of load/bullet-wt/primer data along with it. Bought a Ruger M77 Mark II Frontier Rifle the next day. Best deal in over a year. Started at a garage sale.
I just bout a NAA Mini Revolver yesterday in 22 WRM with the conversion cylinder so I can also shoot 22 LR. It has the 1 and 1/8 inch barrel. I am self-diagnosed with analysis paralysis and finally pulled the trigger on this gun and have absolutely no buyer's remorse. It is a keeper and the quality is above reproach. Now my wife wants me to buy her one.
