What is the last gun that you bought?

It does look....wierd. The front of the guard should have a fatter loop than the rear, to accommodate gloved fingers.
Here's mine-

Compared to yours-

That said, I can't fathom how it could be on wrong given that, as you say, it IS tacked on and there is a stamped boss for the rear screw. I dunno, maybe it was bent a bit off but the production needs of the time were such that the inspectors passed it. Or maybe it was damaged and "field repaired" at some point.....
Who can say? Lol.😁

Nice! Im jelly. 👍
I've been casually eyeing these since they first came out a few years ago, but couldn't bring myself to ordering one sight unseen (no local LGS ever had one in stock)...and a piece-'o-junk Century Arms .308 Cetme I owned @20 years ago has had me gun-shy of parts kit frankenguns ever since.

Stumbled upon this one listed locally on Armslist. The build quality is far better than anything the drunk monkeys with wrenches and welders at Cenrury could put together.

I had two new rifles, and two new pistols, an SDS (TISAS) 1911 9 MM, A Tauras judge 410/45 colt pistol, a new Henry all weather, side loading gate 45-70 with 18.5 inch barrel, and a new Rossi, stainless 38/357 mag carbine with a 16 inch barrel.
Those are my new guns, whats yours?

Taurus GX4. I'm very happy with fit and finish, reliability (so far). Great ergonomics, feels great in the hand. 11+1. Replaced the sights with Glock night sight in the rear and Truglo tritium with orange dot on the front. $325 out the door for one with the coyote slide. Lots of Taurus haters out there. This is my first and I like it a lot.

May replace Glock 43X and Hellcat Pro for EDC.

Ordered at my LGS. Should be in next week. Bond Arms Rawhide .22LR. This will be my third Bond derringer along with several extra barrels. This one will be better shooting a lot since the .45 Colt barrel pummels my hand and my hand is still sore three days later from shooting about 16 rounds out of it. I need to find a padded right hand shooting glove.

I always laugh when I hear people recommend a .22 LR handgun for self defense, especially a 2 shooter. I suppose it might work if your close enough for an eye socket shot.

I only recommend Bond Arms derringers for fun guns, but some do recommend them for self defense. Even without the limited capacity, the Bond for self defense would be sort of like carrying a semi-auto without one in the chamber. The bond has to be cocked before it can shoot.

Sorry, a 22lr in you pocket, that you can shoot, is better then a 44 mag in your safe.

Supposedly CZ75 mags and the SAR CM 9 mags (Turkish clone of a Tanfoglio CZ clone)fit. I will soon see when it gets here. A Sar CM9 is my "house gun", and I only paid $250 for it shipped. GREAT gun.
