was disappointed with the M/N which was at best good condition, I had picked up one earlier that was 95+ outside and had a shinny bore with sharp rifling.
Bought a CZ52 today because I got 2500 rounds real cheap from a friend that no long owns anything to shoot it with. Got a great deal on one that came with extra magazines and a 9mm barrel.
Smith & Wesson M&P15 - MOE. I didn't need it, but it was on sale for $1,500 (not really on sale), but it came with an EOTech 512 HOLOgraphic Sight. what can i say, it caught my eye...
My first LE, a '44 Jungle Carbine "ROF (F)": a small delicate-looking carbine which bites like a cobra. All because of a very short scene in Croc. Dundee 2 in April, believe it or not. His was a sporterized normal length.
Some really mysterious intuition told me to buy ammo from Samco before trying to find a rifle-and they were sold out of all .303 days later (last cheap .303 on Internet). Extremely lucky.
The rifle was built to fight in Burma and shoots the same batch of ('43) ammo which was issued to British/Aussie troops.
