No 4 Mk1* Lee Enfield from 1943 made at Longbranch and refurbed in Dec. 1946 at Longbranch. Need to get out and shoot it. Plan to on Friday.
Mossberg 500a combo pack. Was my 1st gun.
Got my eye on another already.
Now that I've got it home, it really doesn't look that much like the S&W Mod 14 4" (1958). What it is, is a Ruger Security Six .357 4". Has that 1980'S look to it. Better balance and (for me) more accurate, but still a much more common gun than I'd thought. It's in excelent shape. Except someone thought it was a good idea to "label" their gun. Carved into the wood on the bottom of the butt is JD 8.8.5. Original bluing, but not much thought to preserving the grips.Old Ruger .357mag. Looks a little like the 1958 Mod 14 S&W 4". Shoots about the same except not as front heavy as the S&W. (shooting .38 spec. of course.) Fired it Friday in back of the shop. Gotta wait til Tuesday to pick it up.
