What is the last gun that you bought?

3rd Gen Glock 20 in 10mm w/ night sights. OTD for 425. Was thinking of selling it, now got a conversion barrel in .40 for it and going to keep it around for a bit.

Well, I'm always on the lookout for stuff. *Now I need to sell a few of the safe-queens-that-never-get-fondled to fund these.

I bought a 1918 manufactured Colt 1911 a while back but it turned out to be refinished. *Sold it and just picked this up this morning. *1944 manufactured Remington Rand. *All parts are correct for a RR. *Surprisingly tight for an old slabsides.

I have a Mossberg 500 that I've turned into a pseudo 590...but I've always Jonesed for an actual 590. *Found this one that sat in a safe with only a few rounds through it. *Now it is mine.

I like lever guns...and have shot a Win92 in cowboy action for years. *But ever since seeing Jimmy Stewart in "Winchester 73" as a kid I've always wanted an 1873. *CDNN has some Chaparral's but I have hesitated since Chap has a variable reputation for quality (stiff actions, crappy triggers, so so wood). *I had a weak moment last time I called CDNN when I found out their 20" barreled versions were the short rifles (20" octagonal)...that's the config that floats my boat. *So I took a chance. *This one is fairly nice...the action is smooth and easy to run. *The trigger is light and crisp. *The wood isn't great but it also isn't a $900 Uberti either. *I think it will be a fun shooter...and it has that great "ting" sound of the carrier when you rack the action.

last gun purchase

I bought 2 M-1 carbines just yesterday.First one was a Iver Johnson, and then went to a pawn shop and found a Inland with 6 magazines. Now my wife and I have twin carbines, twin XD-45's and twin 1911's.As you can tell we like redundancy when it comes to home defense.I also just recieved my Texas concealed carry permit 2 days ago, after putting it off for several years.Who knows what's next, maybe a couple of home defense shotguns.

Most recent addition to the global collection...

Smith & Wesson Model 547. A little unusual, I know. Sadly, I live in Germany and it will take a long time to get it licensed (if ever) to here, so I'm seperated from it (and some others) temporarily.

Bit by the 32 bug. The birdshead I bought about 3-4 weeks ago. Shot it some and decided I needed another so I bought the baby vaq from a member on the Ruger forum. Don't have it yet, just bought it Saturday and it's being shipped.

I've been looking for a stainless Ruger Redhawk .44mag with a 5 1/2" bbl for about 6 months. I just picked up one in pristine condition about 30 minutes ago. I am 1ea happy camper :)

Don't have pics yet, but just recently picked up an AR-30 in .338 Lapua Mag, an unissued Walther P1, a Colt Argentine Navy M1911, a Norinco 13-shot version of the Tokarev, and a second variation of the Argentine Systems 1927 Colt conversion to .22lr.

I've been talking a lot lately about what I'm going to get next, but I got to thinking there's a glaring hole in my collection. I didn't have a good 12 gauge. I know that's like a sin, so I did something about it today. I bought a Remington 11-87 Special Purpose this morning. I took it out and killed some skeet this afternoon and was very pleased with it. It's used, but shot very little I think. Now, what to get next..............:)

I just bought a used Colt MK IV series 80 "Officers" model in .45 ACP .

For a 25 year old gun is in great shape.

It has wooden grips and someone added a ambi safety (which I need) to it.

ColtMKIVOfficersmodel2.gif

We took it completely apart in the store & wiped it down (it was already cleaned) and lubed the slide & rails.

I bought it for $510.

Here are the details of the gun.

My new Colt Officers Model 1911 in .45 Cal.was made in 1985.

The finish is a Satin Nickel finish

It has Millett Series 100 Custom Combat Low-Profile Sights installed.

It has a Videcki Custom Trigger installed - it's a 3 hole trigger w/ over travel screw.

Ambidextrous safety by Armand D. Swenson, (Fallbrock, CA, US). .. the safety's finish is either chrome or shiny Nickel.

I took it to the range and put a quick 100 rounds through it.

It shot great.
