What is the last gun that you bought?

Thanks. I bought it from a guy I work with. I'll get take a better look at it when I get off this towboat. 3 weeks is a long wait.

The four digit 1955 Model 88 I traded to get the Model 1897
I probably should have kept it but I did not enjoy shooting it
(It might still be available for sale Ed's Gun Shop in Tamaqua, PA)

Started my Eastern Block Collection with a Romanian SAR-1 AKM (AK-47) in 7.62x39 (Red Furnature) and a Romanian ROMAK-2 AKM (AK-74) in 5.45x39 (Blond Furnature).

It is not actually a firearm, but it is regulated. Yesterday I paid for an AAC 308 suppressor. Told it would be about a 5 week wait. Will get picks out then.

S&W top break revolver in .32 S&W for The Boss. It's better than a poke with a stick and she'll actually carry it.

BRNO VZ24 in 7x57 for me. Custom build or restoration?

Police trade-in S&W Model 10-10

S&W Model 10-10 (apparently an Ohio Department of Corrections retired firearm). Got it used (obviously) at a close-by dealer that bought a bunch of them for resale (after seeing what new ones cost, used was my only real option).

It has some aesthetic issues (some worn bluing, a really bad job of engraving a control number on the bottom of the trigger guard, and some gunk in the grips that took some effort to clean), but it seems really tight mechanically and also shoots quite well (at least the first 30 rounds); lots of little spots near the middle of the target).

I'm pretty pleased with it, and might see about spot rebluing, getting the engraving removed from the trigger guard, and replacing the grips at some point. For now it's a heck of a fun shooter for a very reasonable price.

Yellow mark on second picture is where I redacted the SN.

:) ;)

Glock 29 and 36

I purchased a G29 last week from a local shop with Trijicon night sights and 4 magazines. I stopped by the local indoor range on the way home to try it out, but couldn't find ammo. I already had a G20, now I have 2 10's?
This weekend, I found myself in my favorite shop and purchased a G36. I've been looking at one for a while, and was able to purchase a nice preowned gen 3 at a reasonable price. This was my 4th purchase this month. Maybe gun and ammo rehab next month?
