yesterday I bought a Spikes Tactical stripped lower to build a pistol...... but on my way out of the gun show, I saw a nib Hi Point 45 for $149.95..... I couldn't resist and bought it too.....
Three good scores since xmas. A correct 1903A3 Smith Corona. A correct M1903 Rock Island that Springfield finished up 1928, and last was a m1917 Eddie Stone with a Johnson Automatics barrel. San Antonio stamped refurb, all matched and correct except front sight blade. I can deal with that.
I picked up a Springfield XDM 0.40 with the 4.5" barrel. Very nice handgun, 400 rounds with no issues at all. First round shot was dead center of the bulls eye at 35 feet. With that shot I was ready to pack it back up and head home grinning. Very accurate.
Dan Wesson .22, made in Monson, with 6" barrel. Great condition, just a couple of idiot marks on the frame, and shoots like my old DW .357 did: like a laser beam.
It's just the 15-round P226 mag, with the X-grip on the bottom.
If you already have some P226 15-rounders laying around, and want to use them on the P228, but don't want them to look funky, here's the "solution". http://www.topgunsupply.com/x-grip-sig_p228_p229.html
I just sold all but 1 rifle (savage 30-06), 1 shotgun (mossberg 12ga), and 2 hand guns (cz75b and my glock 22 edc) so i had some money burning a hole in my wallet. I just picked up a ruger 10/22 to replace the 1 i sold a while back. Got to love $.03 per rnd.
I have made 3 purchases in the last 3 weeks. First is a New Vaquero in 45lc, the second is a Remington 870 Wingmaster in 410 from '85 and last but not least is a Ruger Mark III 22/45 that is a tack driver. My wife is so proud of me right now.
Purchased a new LC9 on the 21st of this month. Put two hunded rounds through it without a problem until today. The magazine is unlatching about every two or three shots. I tried both my normal left handed shooting and right hand in case I was causing the magazine to come loose but it didn't make much difference. Looking at another LC9 it appears the latch doesn't protrude into the magazine tunnel as much on mine as the one I compared to. Back to Ruger she goes. Nice little gun though, bangs away nicely on small steel plates at 25yds as well as hitting paper indoors at my club range.
I've gone on a little run over the past month or so:
