For me it was an 18# Thomas Bland 4 bore. Wasn't holding it correctly. Broke my collarbone. Charge was 385 grains of 1F and a 2000 gr. conical bullet. 240 ft. lbs. of recoil. A .458 in a nine pound rifle ha 70.

Same. 158 grain .357 loads are truly punishing.S&W 340 PD (12oz), mean little revolver.
For me its my EDC Seecamp 380, it bites pretty good, but its the most comfortable handgun to carry in the pocket. My second was my Savage striker bolt action pistol in 308, much pain, sold it to buy a remington xp100 in 221FB, much more pleasant to shoot.
Something about a feg pa-64 and Walther ppk 380 didn't get along with my hands. More aggravating then magnum loads in j frames to me, go figure.
Had some GI 1911s give me some decent cuts between the thumb and pointer. Been bitten by the old style ppks without beaver tails.
Once fired one of those leinad 410 double barrel derringers made of plastic and broken dreams. That wasn't much fun.
Really? They aren't that bad lol. .380 out of LCP size/weight guns is less than even .38 special out of an airweight revolver.. For sure .38 +P is way worse.Ruger LCP by far.
