Hey guys I'm looking forward to buying a .223 Saiga. What is the average price that it is selling for? I'd like to know, so I won't over pay for something that actually cost far less.

They've gone from about $325.00 to $550.00 were I'm at. Was at a gun shop yesterday, they had XCRs for $2450.00, Colts for $1998.00, random ARs for $1600.00. Glad I bought when they were half price.

Try to find a dealer not trying to get rich on one gun.

depends, mostly around 400, but can find used sometimes for closer to 300.
I will make you pissed off a minute here, and told you i bought all my saigas
223, 762x39, and even the 308, for all about 250 each, when they came out about 3 years ago, after being dried up for a while previous to that.

Went in a store today which had about five forlorn WASRs huddled in the corner, being totally ignored. Their list price is about $550.

Just curious, but is their quality very similar to a Saiga?
As they all have high-cap magazines, they require no conversion, in my novice opinion. But a better wood finish and a longer stock might help them sell.

Saigas are MUCH better than WASR's. Generally on a Saiga the fit and finish is pretty decent and everything lines up properly. They are also some of the most accurate AK's out there. The only real downside, and it is a pretty big one, is that you need to convert them. WASR's on the other hand are about as crude an AK as you can get. Their big claim to fame was that they were cheap, ready to go and generally went bang every time you pulled the trigger. Now they're not so cheap anymore. $550 for a WASR is at least $250 too much IMO.

Wow I was in a local gunshop 2 weeks ago and they had 4 of them all brand new askin 350 dollars geuss I shoulda bought them and put em on auction.
