What is the smallest, lightest 45acp revolver?

Probably be a S&W 325PD. S&W's performance center made (makes?) a fugly little one w/ a 2" barrel and I think a 3" w/ day-glo sites. Scarce and pricey.
Taurus used to make one as well if memory serves, but haven't seen that offering in years.

I have a five shot Taurus snub in .45acp. It's small, but not light. All stainless steel.

I carry a Taurus Titanium 450 (45LC) - 2" barrel, weighs in at about 17oz. The Taurus 455 is 45 ACP and weighs the same. I ankle carry mine all day. I like it.

Biker

The gun shop I frequent has a now discontinued Taurus Tracker in total titanium with fixed sights and a 4 inch barrel. 5 shots. I can't remember but it weighs around 21-23 oz, I believe. I am continually tempted by it and then wonder why they discontinued them. Still...I am a fan of fixed sight revolvers...Honestly, I'd be more tempted if it were all stainless steel, not being entirely sold on titanium revolvers.

I think Biker nailed it with the Titanium Taurus.

I have a 445? the 5 rounder in .44 special and it is small & light.

But, I think it is discontinued now.

I also have the S&W 325PD in .45 acp with the 2 3/4 inch barrel it is light around 22oz empty but an N frame so its large in size

Still it feels so good in my hand - its my current nightstand gun.

I shot a 625-10. It was quite a handful, which surprised me greatly. I'd rather shoot full-house .44Mag out of my 3" 629 Trail Boss.

The smallest .45 sixgun I like is a Colt Sheriff's Model. Mine is .45 Colt, not ACP, but USFA can build a Sheriff's Model to order in .45 ACP. Single action, of course, which does not bother me. :)

Gary A: I'm still kickin' myself for not buying one or two of those when CDNN was selling the last of them at $299. If I ever find one at a good price, I'll grab it.

The only complaint I have about the .45acp Tracers; you can't shoot Auto Rim in them.

Photoman - you can call them if you like at 618-628-7480. I don't remember what they are asking for it (they are generally reasonable) and don't know if you would be interested in having them ship it to you unseen to a dealer of your choice. But, there is the number just in case. SW Illinois.

Thanks Gary. I'll have to see if I can get approval from the accounting department. :D

I have a 4" Taurus Tracker 5 shot .45acp revolver that is about equal to a K frame Smith. Not a bad shooter, but if I could find a 2" I would trade it off.
I had a Taurus 2" .44 special titanium that I wish I would have never gotten rid of, great shooter and a dream to carry.

The .45's don't seem to be "as" senstive to energy loss in the short barrels vs. other cartridges. Great power to weight ratio in these snubbies. Just thinking out loud.
