Greetings all. I am new to this sight and new to the gun world, but I have a gun that I have no idea how to determine the age or value of. Can any of you help me?
It is a Smith & Wesson AIRWEIGHT 38 Special CTG Model 38. I can provide more information if needed, but hopefully this is enough to start with.

Thanks for your help!

Pics would be helpful, and overall condition will be the determining factor. If you look at the pinned threads at the top of the revolver forum I believe there's a "DOB thread for smith and wesson revolvers " thread or something. You can post the serial number there (X out the last 2 numbers) and someone will tell you how old it is.

Thank you for your reply. I posted pics and stats on the DOB of revolvers thread as you suggested, but no response yet. Hopefully I will hear from someone soon.

Thanks again,
WD

Radagast is on that thread like a hound-dog and he responded to your post yesterday - go back and check. As to value, he's as accurate as can be without tons of good, high-quality photos.
