In the second pic... the cop is searching for an armed suspect in a wooded area.
With a handgun.
I don't know about you, but if I'm searching for someone in an area like that, I'm going to have a rifle, not a handgun.
And as someone else mentioned, his finger is on the trigger. Dumbass.
