I Have a load of these cartridges and no gun to shoot them. I received them a few years ago and I've just had them in storage since. As you can see, it's marked 7.92 and dated 1954 and 1955. The boxes are marked and sealed with "Ejercito Ecuatoriano" which means Ecuadorian Army.
The fired brass is 57.5mm long, which leads me to believe these are 7.92x57 Mauser Rounds.
Any idea what the "SS" means (I'm guessing it's the bullet type)?
Any value in something like this? The only indication I have that they are any good is the 2 empty cases. Otherwise, I have no clue if they will go bang.
If I ship 400 loaded rounds of ammunition, do I have to ship it some way special?
