This is said to be of Korean war era, maybe WWII. Any ideas?

It looks to me like the detachable-tube 3.5" rocket launcher (successor to the WW2 Bazooka, which was two-point-something inches). The lower tube appears to have an interrupted thread on one end, to fit into the rear of the upper tube. IIRC, this was done so as to make the tube more compact for marching, transport, etc.

Any other ideas?

thats a disasembled 3.5" "superbazooka antitank rocket launcher.it was made possible by the fact our 2.5"1st generation bazooka was not effective against the t34 soviet tank in the korean war.

the 2 tubes fit together to make the super bazooka.

Pretty funny, if you click on the Disassembled link you will also find that very same photo. I just clicked on it. LOL...

Yeah, I just realized that also. I found the picture posted somewhere else. It looks this is one of the very few about the Super Bazooka. Man I love that name! :D
