What kind of M700 is this?

Saw a 700 at a shop today and later realized it's not on the Remington site. It was a .308, brown laminated stock, stainless barrel and action. The stainless was very soft-satin looking. Very nice. It actually looked like the VLS, but with a stainless action and barrel. It was new.

I didn't look at it much at the shop, but later started thinking it was different.

Does anyone know what this was?

Sounds exactly like a Varmint Laminated Stainless (VLS).

Found out what it is. It is a special run, done for Accu-Sport, called a VLS-SS. (The standard VLS is blued.)

These were floating around recently on Gunbroker and AA. Also, they made some with a grey and black laminated stock with the stainless barrel and receiver, looked a little better than the brown/staniless, IMHO. However, they all are pretty cool... Cant hurt to have something different....

Think I saw one in .243 in a gunshop the other day. Not sure though...... Might have been the standard VLS.
Guy I was with almost bought it. Finally settled on a Bushmaster varmint series or something or the other. (sorry, I'm not up on my various bushmaster models)
