For $90, I have 6 total knives to serve the purposes of general use.
www.ltspecpro.com had a clearance and the sale ends 31 Jan 06 or when supplies run out.
I bought 3 of the Safekeeper 3 push knives for $30 as factory seconds. They are the perfect size for skinning game. Sharp blade, easy to sharpen, short edge big belly for close control of skinning game.
I bought 3 of the Pro Lite series in Drop Point serrated for $60. This is a good style for me because of the cutting of rope, meats, vegetables, fruits, and even bread.
Yes, they are all made in Taiwan, but who cares, at those prices?
I am not a price snob, and I figure the Taiwan stuff has served me well with CKRT.
If I damage it, I can send it back to Cold Steel for exchange under warranty. If I lose it, I do not cry, because of the price point.
That is the beauty of solid quality knives at excellent price. Have to shop around.
