What mag brand is this?

We have a couple mags that came with the SA GI. On the bottom they say COLT 45 with an eagle (bird) holding a sash with the words "HI STANDARD".

Is Hi Standard the brand? Colt? I'm just blowing through checking mags out, the ol' man expressed interest in getting another extra one for carry and these have worked fine. I don't know magazines very well

Hi Standard is the brand, a genuine commercial Colt magazine will have the prancing colt on the base plate. Tons of magazines have the words "Colt 45" stamped on the base plate and nothing else, these are not genuine Colt mags.

Cool, thanks. I checked CDNN and they had them hi standards listed for $8 but were out of stock. I figured that Colt 45 might be a generic term for the 1911.

I have 3 of the High Standard magazines, and they are great. They have been 100% reliable in my Colt.
