CZ Shadow 2
Sig Sauer P220 in 10mm (I own one but I think more people should try 10mm.)
Coonan 357
Mauser C96
HK P30L
Desert Eagle
S&W 686, 629, and Model 10
Ruger SP101
GP100 in 44 spl
LCR in 327

There are a lot of common guns that should be stocked also to catter to people looking for a carry gun. The above list is just what I want to try.

Hello fellow shooters! I am here today to do some simple research on the pulse of you shooters.

I hope this is allowed for me to inquire in this way to canvas your opinions of what you would like to see or try. I apologize if this isn't allowed.

I have been given a unique opportunity to equip an indoor shooting facility with various fire arms! Talk about a fun project!

The top rated pistols that I see here and at a few other sites will help me choose the handguns we will include in the facility to rent to customers to shoot on our range. I won't advertise the name of the business, but just want to see what you guys think would be the best to have a chance to shoot.

I am curious of what the top 10 hand gun picks would be.
What make/models, calibers etc.

Thank you in advance guys, and I look forward to your input!
Lots of people are listing their favorites, but that's not necessarily what would rent the most frequently.

I don't know the various Glock models since I don't own one. That said, I would have regular/duty in fullsize and compact and subcompact, in both 9 and 40. in Glock, and then a similar competitor such as S&W (M&P and Shield models), and then maybe an economy brand such as Taurus or Ruger.
Then add in the Sig P320 with various grip frame sizes.

People who rent guns don't have one usually, so they are test-driving one. They likely want something cheap, reliable, and comfortable to both carry and shoot. They won't know a lot about the guns, but will be going on reputation and marketing...

it's actually similar to a young couple who just had their first child (probably twins) and are now out of college, and are buying a new "family" car, to replace the used little 2-door car they tooled around with before. Reputation might say "get a Toyota"... which one? I wouldn't know, I'd say go to the dealer and check them out; and if you then want something "different", try something similar to the Toyota you liked. Same applies to Glock and carry, just my opinion.

If you fill those in and still have the resources and desire for more, I would then include the following:
Sig P226
Beretta 92FS
CZ 75

That group remains the primary choice for people wanting to pick up a fullsize metal 9mm DA/SA, and the best way to determine which is best is for the shooter to try them out.

I am a pocket gun enthusiast. I shoot every week sometimes twice a week. One gun I love to train with for the Pocket guns is the wonderful and very underated Phoenix HPA 22. This gun runs like a sewing machine. I have two of them now and put thousands of rounds down range with very few hiccups. In fact, this gun runs better than a number of the high priced 22.cal I own. The gun offers great training for a short barrel pistol with Point and shoot skills.
I will place about 6-8 3" reactive targets on a standard range target and quickly shoot as fast as I can to get all targets shot. Lousy at first but huge and proficient shots now. Offers great competition with friends. And I love the feel of these guns. The 1911 style feels great in the hand.
And the fact that they usually sell for around $125.00 is a real bonus.

Desert Eagle
S&W 500
BFR 45-70
Colt 1911
Glock 23
Glock 19
S&W Shield 9mm
S&W 29
Beretta 92FS
Ruger Redhawk 44mag
Super Blackhawk 357
SP-101
Browning Hi-Power
Buckmark 22
S&W 53
And about 20 others...

Any or all. People coming to a range to rent guns want a few different things...
1). Shoot guns they'll probably never own.
2). Try new guns for possible purchase (for whatever reason).
3). Introduce new shooters.
4). Shoot guns made famous in movies.
