after a few years! I have a real strange thought! Of course Mod 70 Winchester (pre 64) go up in value over what they cost new, but the only other rifle that I can think of in the last 20 years that has done that has been H&K sporters, preban assault rifles AND 50 BMG rifles. Infact I think only the good 50 BMG rifles are holding their value in todays produced rifles. Check the online auctions you never can find one cheap! I got my Barrett in 88 and its gone up at least $3000 cash value over what I paid new. So the only rifles that don't lose value that are produced today are 50bmg? Am I wrong here? Anything else thats worth the same or more since 94?

Supply and demand applies to every commodity.

Factors that will make rifles go up are:
Availability-- Are they still made, or made as well?
Legal Issues-- Can similar types not be made (IE AW Ban)?
Demand-- Is it poular in its own right?
