I have a 20 inch H Bar and want to mount a scope on it. Any sugestions? The rifle has a shaved gas block on it right now, thinking about adding a flip up type later. I want a good set that will hold a true zero, I tried the Millet type rings before and wasn't happy with them. And will medium height work with a flip type sight or do I need to go higher?

The best rings Ive found, and talk about durable so far (really impressed me), were Warne Maxima steel rings. Not heavy, very , very strong, and worth the price. Keep in mind, not expensive at all.
Whether you want to try, high, medium, or low height, thats up to you. The closer to the barrel, the closer the scope stays on target at varying distances.
I installed Warne steel rings on my friends 20 inch Colt Hbar (with a b-square scope mount, the rings that came with it were weak, the threads stripped way too easily (the scope was installed, and we had it zeroed, then after firing a few more shots the aluminum threads gave way and the bolts practically fell out). His Hbar was an A2 with carrying handle.
This was before the Warne rings.

I have a LaRue LT-104 QD mount and it's solid and re-zeros even after removal. A feature some rings don't have is steel inserts for the threads of all the hardware so they're less likely to strip out like other all-aluminum rings.

+1 for the LaRue LT-104. There are several styles of rings on LaRue's website so you can get the exact set up you need, and the quality is top=notch. And I can vouch for the zero-repeatability; I take my scope off my AR all the time and when I put it back on it shoots to exactly the same point.
