I have come into $1200.00 to spend gun stuff. I am having a hard time deciding what to do with it. I am currently having a love affair with my 1911's. I have a Kimber Stainless Target II 5" and a Wilson CQB 5" that don't leave home with me when I go to the range. I am lusting for a commander length 1911 but with the rising prices of metals stocking up on ammo might be a wiser decision.

Reloading has become as much fun to me as shooting. The fun of formulating reloads and testing has become a great hobby. I currently only have a setup for the .45ACP. So my options are:

1. Buy a new commander sized 1911.

2. Buy powder, primers and bullets to last me for a few years.

3. None of the above.

Go with Door Number 1; buy the new Commander sized M1911. You should still have enough money left over for powder, primers, and bullets.

None of the above. Give it to me. I'll use it well, don't doubt it.

If you can't find it in your heart to help a poor man like myself, I'd buy the commander.

i would say get the reloading supplies, you already have 2 very nice 1911's, i would get the supplies now and then later down the rd get the commander 1911.

If you save it, the terrorists have already won! :neener: Get the 1911 and an abbreviated amount of reloading supplies ;)

Gravy Gun!

Me, with a $1,200 windfall, I would buy a gun I didn't need. One that didn't really fill any need. One that I would never spend hard earned money on:rolleyes:. Something extra, something for show. Something like a Fusion 10mm longslide (www.fusionfirearms.com).

I probably couldn't bring myself to buy only ammo and reloading components (instead of a new pistol) if I had that amount of money to spend. But it would be a wise choice in my opinion.

I would have to agree with the ones who said to save it, or pay bills, but I would be sorely tempted not to get a Dan Wesson Valor. I know it's not a commander-type, but it is one georgeous gun!:D

With the price of metals increasing as fast as they are, reloading supplies may appreciate faster than a Roth........:cuss:

None Of The Above.

I would suggest:

1. Extended/Threaded Bbl for your favorite semi pistol.
2. Suppressor.

Check out Jarvis. They can do this for about any gun.
