What to expect from this Savage? Barrel break-in suggestions?

Someone already hit the nail on ethe head. Look at what the factory manual says and follow it to a "T". If there is no break in outlined in the manual, then contact the factory or you could do as NCSmitty stated, but with store bought rounds if you don't reload. I reload but still I bought a box of 20 Remington Core Lokt ammo for the break in of my 2 new Weatherby rifles. I cleaned between shots for the first 5 shots and then cleaned after every 5 shots until the box was finished off and then cleaned it again at the end of the 20. Then I shoot it as usual. This was the procedure that was outlined in my Weatherby manual. I can't imagine that Savage would be very different

AKElroy who was the seller you purchased from on Gunbroker? I've been looking for the exact same gun but haven't found the accustock model on gunbroker.
Thanks Mike

Amen to unclemike. I just rebarreled my savage and shaw said nothingabout a break in. I used a boresnake with some tri flo on it a few times and now have put 55 rounds through it and the accuracy is awesome for a "cheapo savage" like a lot of remmy shooters will say. Some people just have to be out shot a few times before they quiet down

See URL below. I called twice as well as emailed twice to confirm it is an accustock & was assured it is. The description does not list it, though, so I will remain unconvinced until I receive it. I should have it tomorrow, PM me if I forget to update this post.

If it is a 2009 or later manufacture, the Weather Warrior in this configuration ONLY comes with an accustock.
